In 1976 I wrote a letter to my husband’s gran describing our meeting Lisa for the first time. Years later gran died and my letter was kept by Rob’s mum and dad, and while sorting out their things Rob found it and returned the letter I’d forgotten about. I sent Lisa a message May 2012 quoting the passage that was relevant to her. “My sister Gina, her husband Bob and baby Lisa arrived home from New Zealand over Easter and they’re here to stay now. Lisa is absolutely beautiful, great long eyelashes that curl so much they look as though Gina puts them in rollers at night. She’s very good, never cries, laughs all the time and loves everyone making a fuss of her. But the look in her eyes when her mum picks her up!! Beautiful……it got me filling up!
